It is so easy to get frustrated when someone else that you have asked to do a simple task manages to get it so wrong – it would have been much easier to do it yourself in the first place. So, have you ever wondered how to get other people to do work for you – successfully, first time, every time? Then you need to BARC – not bite.
This highly practical two-day workshop will give you plenty of opportunity to develop your skills in dealing with people in different circumstances.
Who should attend • Anyone who has ever felt that they might as well do a task themselves than ask anyone else to do it. • All those who want to get the best out of their people.
What the programme will cover This highly practical role play based workshop will show you how to: • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills when dealing with your own people. • Keep your people informed of what is wanted and how they can achieve it. • Regularly discuss plans to monitor progress and ensure positive development. • Positively recognise and acknowledge those skills people need to use so as to encourage their repetition. • Work with others to give them a better under standing of how to develop and apply the best possible skills in their particular circumstances. • Give and receive feedback effectively so as to assist in improving skills and behaviours.
Training Methodology This workshop will be highly participative and your seminar leader will present, guide and facilitate the learning, using a range of methods including discussions, case studies and exercises written specifically for your people. Where appropriate, these will include real issues brought to the workshop by delegates. The workshop is backed-up with a full delegate workbook, visual aids, and case material where appropriate.
Workshop Duration Usually two days as a minimum although some organisations have benefited from their programme as a pair of days split over a few weeks as issues that arise on the first day may take a few weeks to resolve internally. Be prepared to be flexible – we are! While it can be run on one day as an intensive programme, participants benefit most from being able to practice their skills in a ‘save’ workshop environment before going back to their work group.
Maximum Group Size Ideally, no more than 16 people per workshop but since this event is designed as an in house programme with your top team, it can be adjusted to accommodate your needs.
