How to Develop Good Internal Communications
Communications between top management and other employees, and between departments or divisions within an organization are vital for effective action and good morale.  Yet this important function is rarely given the same skilled attention as communication with the outside world.
This workshop explores the problems with internal communications and how they can be overcome, leading to a high level of professionalism in this very important area.  In particular it examines the way in which marketing departments can communicate more effectively with their colleagues to inspire greater support and command higher budgets.

Who will benefit
• All those who feel that internal communications in their organisation is not all it could be.
• Anyone charged with improving internal communications!

Why you should attend
It is easy to count the cost of materials and supplies, the cost of winning new business, even the cost of lost business. But what about the hidden cost of poor internal communication? This is one area where most people in your organisation would agree – we could do better.
This workshop will help you ensure that you are getting your message across, avoiding the pitfalls, and making the most effective use of your people.

What the programme will cover
This one-day intensive programme will cover the following subjects but there will be time for delegates to discuss their own particular topics:
• The basics principles of effective communication
• Why communication often goes wrong
• The organizational paradox – and what to do about it!
• How to plan, control and measure the effectiveness of internal communication
• The main methods of communication

The training method
The workshop leader provides technical input using case study material to illustrate the subject and encourages the audience to consider the practical application of the techniques in their organisation. The day includes syndicate work to enable delegates to practice disciplines that have been put before them.

Workshop Duration
Usually one day as a guide. However, some organisations have benefited from an intense half-day focused programme – usually to address a particular concern.
The workshop is backed-up with a full delegate workbook, visual aids, and case material where appropriate.

Maximum Group Size
Ideally, no more than 12 people per workshop but since this event is designed as an in house programme with your people, it can be adjusted to accommodate your needs.
