Tools and Techniques in Business Improvement
In order to remain competitive in today’s fast changing world, all people need a thorough understanding of how to apply the tools and techniques used in quality initiatives. It is fundamental to continual improvement. They apply equally well in manufacturing and service organisations as well as in professional services and the public sector.
This workshop looks at a varied selection of the tools and techniques to achieve a programme of continued improvement in organisational performance. It aims to clarify how individuals can make a more valuable contribution to any quality initiative they are part of with the aim of improving the overall performance of the organisation.

Who should attend
• Anyone that wants to improve their skills in problem solving techniques
• All those who want a good basis in the principal tools and techniques for continual improvement.

Why you should attend
Applying yesterday’s solutions to today’s problems is no formula for success. Therefore, improving the quality of our problem solving – to say nothing of our thinking – is the only way forward for tomorrow’s successful organisations.
This programme is designed to give participants a clear understanding of quality initiatives and equip them with the skills to make a better contribution in their job leading to improved organisational performance overall.

What the programme will cover
1. Why bother with quality initiatives – aren’t we good enough already?
2. How to develop and manage customer-supplier chains in your organisation.
3. Doing things right and doing the right things
4. Problem identification techniques
5. Improving personal effectiveness
6. Chose from a dozen valuable tools and techniques to help improvements in your organisation.

Training Methodology
This workshop will be highly participative and your seminar leader will present, guide and facilitate the learning, using a range of methods including discussions, case studies and exercises. Where appropriate, these will include real issues brought to the workshop by delegates.
Full use is made of practical examples to illustrate the concepts ensuring immediate practical application. The workshop is backed-up with a full delegate workbook, visual aids, and case material where appropriate.

Workshop Duration
Usually one day as a guide although some organisations have benefited from a more comprehensive two-day programme – sometimes split over a few weeks as issues that arise on the first day may take a while to resolve internally. Be prepared to be flexible – we are!

Maximum Group Size
Ideally, no more than 12 people per workshop but since this event is designed as an in house programme with your key people, it can be adjusted to accommodate your needs.
